A SAM is expected to RETAIN & DEVELOP assigned Customer(s)

A SAM is responsible for onboarding and managing ALL activities for assigned Customer(s), including but not limited to streamlining and standardizing operational procedures, monitoring of the day-to-day activities, issue resolutions, revenue and cost booking, conducting periodic reviews, and developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders at all levels.

Role and Responsibilities: * To effectively and efficiently onboard and manage a Customer's business and strive for operational excellence. You will be the single point of contact from the account management point of view, including any and all sorts of escalations related to the assigned Customer(s).

• To create and own the SOPs, IOPs, and KPIs as well as setting up the team for an effective and efficient work culture as required by the Customer.
• To share the SOPs, IOPs, and KPIs across the operations teams and training the teams on the specific requirements.
• To set up MIS, Dashboards as required by the Customer, both internal and external.
• To conduct periodic reviews with internal as well as external Customer(s).
• To develop and maintain relationship with the Customer(s) at various levels and map/ align them with that of BDP so as to open doors for additional business avenues.
• To ensure the revenue and cost bookings are as per the agreed commercial and that there is no revenue leakage, wrong revenue mapping as well as no errors in billing and AR is kept under control as per the agreed credit terms with the Customer(s).
• To ensure commercial contracts are valid by reviewing them periodically and ensure the renewals are done on time.
• To be Customer's advocate within the organization.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• Min Graduate, PG/MBA in operations/ supply chain preferable
• Min 10+years working in freight forwarding with strong functional experience from CHB as mandatory. Must be well informed of all the latest developments within the Trade Compliance domain.
• Excellent communication skills (both, oral and written) with good command over English and Tamil
• Tech Savvy. Should be able to work independently and effectively on large data mining and analysis, presentations, etc.
• Must possess good presentation skills
• Process Driven
• Excellent Team leadership.

Job Requirements

• Prefer at least 8 to 10 years of experience handling import/export trafficking functions with a freight forwarder/broker.
• Prefer 5 to 7 years of experience in freight forwarding with strong functional experience from CHB as mandatory.
• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
• Good communication and organization skills and a strong attention to detail are required.
• The ability to work on a team and leadership experience is strongly desired.
• Candidate should have the ability to learn various computer programs.
