The Store Manager will be responsible for the overall operation, sales performance, visual merchandising, inventory control, and customer experience of a boutique specializing in foreign/imported clothing, accessories, and lifestyle products. The role requires strong retail leadership, an eye for fashion, and excellent customer service skills, especially in dealing with international customers.
Key ResponsibilitiesStore Operations
Manage day-to-day boutique operations and ensure smooth functioning.
Open and close the store as per schedule.
Ensure cleanliness, ambience, and attractive store presentation.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Sales & Customer Experience
Drive sales and achieve monthly and seasonal targets.
Provide personalized styling advice and premium service to customers.
Handle foreign tourists and high-end customers professionally.
Resolve customer complaints and ensure customer satisfaction.
Build repeat customer relationships.
Staff Management
Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise sales staff.
Motivate staff to meet sales goals and maintain service standards.
Conduct regular performance reviews.
Ensure proper grooming and behaviour of staff.
Inventory & Stock Control
Manage stock levels, replenishment, and storage.
Monitor fast-moving and slow-moving items.
Prevent pilferage, damage, and stock discrepancies.
Coordinate with suppliers for new collections and reorders.
Visual Merchandising
Plan and execute attractive product displays and window merchandising.
Ensure displays align with seasonal trends and tourist preferences.
Maintain brand aesthetics and premium look of the boutique.
Cash & Reporting
Handle billing, cash, UPI, card payments, and daily cash reconciliation.
Prepare daily sales reports and inventory updates.
Monitor expenses and control operational costs.
Marketing & Promotions
Support promotions, discounts, and festive sales.
Coordinate with digital/social media teams for in-store campaigns.
Collect customer feedback and market insights.
Qualifications & Skills
Graduate or Diploma in Retail Management / Fashion / Business (preferred).
3-5 years of experience in boutique or fashion retail management.
Strong communication skills (English mandatory; foreign language knowledge is an advantage).
Good fashion sense and understanding of international trends.
Leadership and team management skills.
Customer-focused attitude with sales acumen.
