Job Description

The Store Associate is responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, and maintaining inventory of food, beverages, and non-food items in accordance with hotel standards. The role ensures accurate stock control, proper documentation, and timely availability of materials for smooth hotel operations.

Key Responsibilities

Receive goods as per Purchase Orders and verify quantity, quality, and specifications. Inspect incoming items for damages, expiry dates, and compliance with standards. Maintain proper storage of food, beverages, consumables, and equipment. Issue materials to departments against authorized requisitions. Update stock records, bin cards, and inventory registers accurately. Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock checks. Follow FIFO/FEFO methods for inventory management. Coordinate with Accounts and Purchase departments for discrepancies. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in store areas. Assist in stock audits and surprise checks. Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and statutory norms.

Skills & Competencies

Basic knowledge of inventory and store operations. Attention to detail and record-keeping skills. Ability to use MS Excel or inventory management systems. Good communication and coordination skills. Honest, reliable, and physically fit for store duties.

Qualifications & Experience

Graduate / HSC / SSC (minimum qualification as per hotel policy). 1-2 years of experience in hotel or commercial stores preferred. Knowledge of hospitality materials and consumables is an advantage.
