The Store Assistant is responsible for supporting day-to-day store operations including receiving, checking, storing, and issuing materials. The role ensures proper stock maintenance, cleanliness, and timely documentation of all store activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in receiving materials, verifying quantities and quality as per delivery challan or invoice.
Properly label, tag, and store materials in designated locations.
Maintain stock records and update entries in registers or software daily.
Issue materials to departments as per approved requisition.
Conduct regular physical stock verification and report discrepancies.
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the store area.
Monitor stock levels and inform the Store Keeper about shortages or damages.
Ensure proper handling and storage of perishable or sensitive items.
Support in preparing purchase requisitions or stock reports.
Follow company safety and hygiene standards.
