Job Description

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

Supervise Stewarding Staff

Assign daily duties and shifts to stewards/dishwashers. Monitor performance and ensure tasks are completed to standard. Train new employees on cleaning procedures and safety protocols.

Maintain Cleanliness and Hygiene

Ensure all kitchen and dishwashing areas are cleaned and sanitized. Monitor the cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and storage areas. Enforce hygiene and sanitation standards as per HACCP or local health codes.

Inventory and Stock Control

Monitor usage of cleaning chemicals, kitchen supplies, and equipment. Ensure proper stock levels and place requisitions as needed. Control breakage and loss of equipment.

Waste Management

Supervise garbage segregation and disposal. Ensure proper recycling procedures are followed. Maintain cleanliness in waste disposal areas.

Equipment Maintenance

Report any malfunctioning equipment to the engineering or maintenance team. Ensure that all dishwashing machines and cleaning tools are working properly.

Support Kitchen and Service Operations

Assist chefs and service staff with the required equipment and tools. Ensure timely delivery and collection of kitchen items before and after service.

Compliance and Safety

Ensure all stewarding activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Conduct regular safety checks and training (e.g., use of PPE, chemical handling). Maintain Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for cleaning products.

Team Coordination and Communication

Attend departmental briefings and relay important information to the stewarding team. Coordinate with chefs, banquet staff, and service teams during events or peak periods.

Skills and Qualifications:

Leadership and team management. Knowledge of kitchen hygiene and safety standards. Basic knowledge of chemicals and cleaning equipment. Good communication and time-management skills. Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Pay: ₹17,000.00 - ₹22,670.14 per month
