Job Title: Steward/Waiter : We are currently seeking a friendly and customer-oriented Steward/Waiter to join our restaurant team. As a Steward/Waiter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a pleasant dining experience for our guests by providing exceptional service, attending to their needs, and maintaining a clean and organized dining area. Responsibilities: - Greet and welcome guests with a warm and friendly demeanor. - Escort guests to their tables and assist them in seating arrangements. - Present menus and provide detailed information on food and beverage options. - Take accurate food and drink orders from guests and relay them to the kitchen and bar staff promptly. - Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and efficient manner. - Ensure that each dish or drink is presented to the guests according to our standards of quality and presentation. - Check on guests periodically to ensure satisfaction and address any additional needs or requests they may have. - Maintain a clean and organized dining area by clearing tables, resetting them, and ensuring sufficient supplies of tableware, glassware, and utensils. - Collaborate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth and coordinated service. - Process guest payments accurately and efficiently using the POS system. - Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations to maintain a clean and hygienic environment. - Provide suggestions and recommendations to guests based on their preferences and menu options. - Handle guest complaints or concerns with professionalism and escalate to the management when necessary. Requirements: - Proven experience as a Steward/Waiter in a restaurant or hospitality establishment. - Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with guests and team members. - Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. - Attention to detail and ability to accurately take and process orders. - Basic math skills for processing payments and providing change. - Knowledge of food and beverage menus, including dietary restrictions and special requests. - Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate effectively with colleagues. - Flexibility to work during evenings, weekends, and holidays as per the restaurant\'s operational needs. - Familiarity with POS systems and basic computer skills.
