The Steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and organization of the kitchen, service areas, and dishwashing sections. The role ensures smooth F&B operations by supporting kitchen and service teams while following hygiene and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Wash and clean dishes, glassware, cutlery, and kitchen equipment
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, store rooms, dishwashing area, and service stations
Ensure proper segregation and disposal of waste as per hygiene standards
Assist kitchen staff in basic food preparation if required
Refill service areas with clean crockery and cutlery
Follow hotel hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards (HACCP)
Report any equipment damage or maintenance issues to the supervisor
Support banquet and restaurant operations during peak hours
Ensure compliance with company policies and standard operating procedures
Skills & Requirements
Basic knowledge of hygiene and sanitation standards
Ability to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays
Physically fit to stand for long hours
Team player with a positive attitude
Willingness to learn and follow instructions
Educational Qualification
Minimum: 10th Pass (preferred)
Prior hotel or restaurant experience is an added advantage
