Job Summary



The Steward is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene, and organization of the kitchen, dishwashing, and service areas. The role supports chefs and service staff by ensuring that all utensils, crockery, cutlery, and kitchen equipment are properly cleaned, sanitized, and readily available for use.

Key ResponsibilitiesCleaning & Sanitation



Clean and sanitize all kitchen utensils, dishes, glassware, pots, and pans using appropriate cleaning methods and equipment. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the kitchen, dishwashing area, and storage spaces. Follow hygiene and sanitation procedures in compliance with health and safety regulations. Clean floors, walls, and work surfaces regularly to ensure a hygienic environment. Handle garbage disposal and waste segregation according to standard procedures.

Support to Kitchen & Service Teams



Ensure a continuous supply of clean utensils and service ware during operations. Assist in setting up and breaking down buffets, banquets, or service areas when required. Transport food, supplies, and equipment between kitchen and dining areas safely. Assist chefs and cooks by providing clean tools and equipment promptly.

Inventory & Equipment Care



Properly store all clean items in designated storage areas. Handle all equipment carefully to avoid breakage and report any damage or malfunction. Refill cleaning supplies and notify supervisors of any shortages.

Safety & Compliance



Follow all food safety and occupational health and safety guidelines. Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely as per training. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. Report any potential hazards, maintenance issues, or accidents immediately.

Qualifications & Skills



High school education or equivalent preferred. Previous experience as a steward, dishwasher, or cleaner in a restaurant/hotel is an advantage. Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation procedures. Physically fit to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks. Basic understanding of food hygiene and safety practices.

Pay: ₹16,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
