Job Description

A steward job involves maintaining cleanliness, organization, and customer satisfaction in hospitality, maritime, or event settings. Cleaning and sanitation:

Maintaining cleanliness in kitchens, dining areas, and other operational spaces, as well as ensuring dishwashing operations meet food safety standards.

Kitchen support:

Assisting kitchen staff by organizing supplies, unloading deliveries, and helping with basic food preparation.

Dining area assistance:

Setting up tables, stocking supplies like cutlery and condiments, and clearing tables for the next guests.

Customer service:

Greeting guests, taking drink orders, refilling glasses, and addressing guest needs to ensure a positive experience.

Inventory management:

Stocking and monitoring the inventory of supplies such as napkins, cutlery, and cleaning equipment.

Other duties:

Performing tasks assigned by a supervisor, such as answering phones, taking reservations, and removing garbage.
