The Steward is responsible for providing courteous, efficient, and prompt service to guests in the restaurant, banquet, or room service areas. The role ensures guest satisfaction through professional service, cleanliness, and adherence to brand standards of Sarovar Hotels.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:Guest Service:
Welcome guests and assist them in seating arrangements.
Present menus, explain daily specials, and take accurate food and beverage orders.
Serve food and beverages according to the hotel's service standards.
Ensure guest needs and requests are promptly attended to during service.
Clear and reset tables efficiently after every service round.
Operational Support:
Assist in the mise-en-place and setup of restaurant/buffet before and after service hours.
Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and orderliness in the restaurant and service areas at all times.
Support captains and supervisors during peak hours and special events.
Follow proper billing procedures and assist in closing checks if required.
Hygiene & Safety:
Adhere to all safety and sanitation policies as per hotel standards.
Handle glassware, crockery, and cutlery with care to prevent breakage or injury.
Maintain personal grooming and uniform standards as per Sarovar brand guidelines.
Teamwork & Communication:
Coordinate with kitchen and other service departments for smooth operations.
Report any guest feedback, complaints, or service issues immediately to the supervisor.
Participate in daily briefings and departmental training sessions.
Key Skills & Attributes:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Positive attitude, courteous, and guest-oriented demeanor.
Basic knowledge of F&B service standards and menu items.
Ability to work under pressure and in a team environment.
Qualification & Experience:
Minimum 10+2 / Diploma in Hotel Management.
0-2 years of experience in a reputed hotel or restaurant (Freshers can apply).
Prior experience in a branded property like Sarovar Hotels will be an advantage.
Working Conditions:
Flexible to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays as per operational needs.
May be required to assist in banquet or outdoor catering events at the IIM campus.

Pay: ₹18,500.00 - ₹20,500.00 per month
