Job Summary:

The Steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in all food preparation and dining areas. The role includes cleaning dishes, kitchen utensils, and equipment, and supporting the kitchen and service teams with setup and breakdown tasks. The Steward ensures that the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Clean and sanitize all kitchen and dining utensils, dishes, glassware, and equipment. Ensure all areas of the kitchen and food prep zones are clean and organized. Operate and maintain dishwashing machines safely and correctly. Dispose of trash, food waste, and recyclables according to company policy. Stock supplies such as utensils, plates, and glassware in appropriate areas. Support chefs and cooks with basic food preparation and cleaning tasks. Maintain the cleanliness of floors, walls, storage areas, and walk-in refrigerators. Ensure compliance with hygiene, health, and safety standards. Assist in setting up for banquets, events, or daily dining services. Report any damages or maintenance issues to supervisors.

Qualifications & Skills:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Prior experience in stewarding or hospitality roles is a plus. Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products and protocols. Physically fit; able to lift, carry, and stand for extended periods. Willingness to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays. Team player with a positive attitude and good communication skills.

Working Conditions:

Fast-paced kitchen or hospitality environment. May involve exposure to heat, humidity, and cleaning chemicals. Standing for long periods and lifting heavy items required.

Pay: ?15,000.00 - ?17,000.00 per month
