Job Summary:

The Steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, including washing dishes, cleaning equipment, and ensuring proper sanitation. The role supports kitchen operations by ensuring chefs and service staff have clean tools, utensils, and a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Clean dishes, glasses, flatware, pots, and pans using manual and automatic dishwashing equipment. Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas including floors, walls, equipment, and storage areas. Dispose of waste and recycling according to hotel or restaurant procedures. Restock clean items in their proper place. Assist with receiving and storing deliveries. Follow safety and sanitation policies at all times. Report any maintenance or repair needs to supervisors. Assist kitchen staff with basic prep work when required (e.g., peeling vegetables, fetching items). Ensure proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment. Support banquet and event setups by ensuring clean and sufficient kitchenware.

Qualifications:

Previous experience as a steward or kitchen helper is a plus but not required. Physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights. Basic knowledge of hygiene and safety standards in kitchen operations. Team player with a positive and reliable attitude. Willingness to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Pay: ?15,000.00 - ?18,000.00 per month
