A Steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and dining areas. Duties include washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, assisting in basic food preparation, and ensuring proper storage of ingredients and supplies. The steward also supports chefs and servers during busy operations by keeping the workspace clean and organized. Attention to detail, teamwork, and adherence to safety and sanitation standards are essential. A good steward should be reliable, physically fit, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in hospitality or food service is preferred but not mandatory.
