The Steward ensures smooth kitchen and dining operations by maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and organization of kitchen, dish?washing and service areas. Their role includes washing and sanitizing utensils, cutlery, glassware and cookware; cleaning and maintaining kitchen surfaces and equipment; handling waste disposal and ensuring proper sanitation, organizing storage of supplies; and supporting kitchen or service staff with inventory, equipment readiness, and smooth workflow. Stewards play a critical behind?the?scenes role.
Wash, clean, and sanitize crockery, cutlery, glassware, pots/pans, kitchen utensils, and smallwares -- either by hand or using industrial dishwashing machinery.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in kitchen, dish?washing, storage, and back?of?house areas.
Receive, store and rotate supplies and assist in stock management for kitchen/back?of?house needs.
Assist in maintaining equipment and kitchen infrastructure; keeping work areas sanitary; ensuring compliance with hygiene and safety standards.
Support kitchen and service staff during busy periods -- ensure steady supply of clean utensils, help with pre?/post?service cleaning, assist in setup or breakdown for banquets/events if required.
Adhere to health, hygiene and safety regulations at all times to protect guest and staff well?being and uphold hotel's cleanliness standards.
Requirements:
Qualifications At least school?level education (often 10th/12th pass or equivalent)
Freshers are welcome with good knowledge with Willingness to Work Flexible Hours
