A successful candidate in this position will have hands-on experience preparing financial statements and supporting financial reporting and compliance processes for entities in the EMEA region.
You will work closely with the Tax, Legal, Treasury, Accounting, and Finance Operations teams, as well as external consultants, to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant local reporting for assigned entities. Activities include preparing statutory financial statements, supporting external audits, assisting with corporate income tax filings, and performing other ad-hoc compliance activities.
What the Candidate Will Do
Statutory Financial Reporting & Audit
Prepare statutory financial statements for assigned legal entities across EMEA in compliance with local accounting standards.
Prepare and post monthly US GAAP to local statutory adjustments and ensure accurate processing in the statutory books.
Support annual external audits by preparing schedules, providing documentation, and responding to auditor queries.
Work with external advisors and internal accounting teams to resolve audit and reporting issues promptly.
Corporate Tax Compliance
Prepare and maintain documentation to support local tax filings (e.g., deferred tax workings, statutory disclosures).
Assist with preparation and timely filing of corporate income tax returns under the guidance of the regional tax team.
Collaborate with Tax and Accounting teams to ensure consistency between tax and accounting records.
Track local regulatory and tax changes and communicate relevant updates to the team.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Finance Operations, Legal, Tax, Accounting) to collect inputs, validate data, and ensure completeness of information for filings.
Maintain organized records and documentation to support compliance and audit processes.
Process Improvement & Projects
Support process improvement initiatives aimed at standardization, automation, and better cross-functional coordination.
Participate in system updates, new tool implementations, and other transformation initiatives as required.
Identify opportunities to enhance the accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency of reporting processes.
What the Candidate Will Need
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
3-5 years of professional experience in financial reporting, statutory audit, or accounting (Big 4 or multinational experience preferred)
* Solid understanding of accounting principles (US GAAP and/or IFRS) and local statutory reporting requirements.
