Job Description


Head (Agri Procurement)

Should have good experience in Agri business /Commodities Procurement & understands the requirements of the sales team in the best possible manner and should be capable of issuing complete instructions to Procurement teams.

Essential Functions and prerequisites:

Strategic Planning: Develop and Execute a comprehensive state level aligned with the overall company vision and Objectives.

Business Development: Identify potential business opportunities, partnerships and collaborations within the state to drive growth and expansion.

Team Management: Lead, mentor and manager a team of employees including Regional Managers, Purchase Managers and Procurement Associates., to achieve performance targets.

Operational Management: Oversee all operational activities.

Market research and analysis: Monitor market trends, competitive landscape,

Relationship Management: Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders, such as FPOs, Traders, government officials, industry associations, and local communities, to promote the company& interests and maintain a positive brand image.

Qualification And Experience:

1. BSc in Agri with 7+ years of Significant experience in the agriculture industry, preferably in agri-tech or related sectors with a proven track record of relationship and achieving business objectives.

2. Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership and managerial abilities, including team handling, decision-making and problem-solving skills.

3. Communications Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders.

4. Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the agriculture market.

5. Analytical Knowledge: Proficiency in data analysis, market research, and financial management to make informed business decisions.

6. Result oriented: Demonstrated ability to meet targets, drive performance, and achieve operational excellence.

7. Flexibility: Adaptability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with a willingness to travel within the state or regions as required.
