Analog Devices' Consumer Audio Solutions group is seeking a Digital Physical Design Engineer to be responsible for the digital physical design and verification of digital block and full chip designs on ADI's digital and mixed-signal System-on-Chip audio products.
The successful candidate will have a deep experience in RTL to GDS2 physical design tools and techniques with a proven record of successful tapeouts on a wide variety of process nodes. Primary duties will include:

  • Synthesis, including a working knowledge of DFT integration (scan, MBIST etc)
  • Floorplanning, including ESD/pad ring development
  • Place and Route
  • Detailed CTS knowledge for low power, low latency clock trees
  • Static Timing Analysis, including signoff definition
  • Physical Verification
  • IR drop and EM analysis
  • Mixed-signal block integration
  • Low power implementation and verification techniques

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with 12+ years’ experience or Master’s degree with over 10+ years of progressive industry experience in physical design with hands-on experience in full-chip/block level place and route, floor planning, power planning, chip integration, ECO flows, timing closure, power and clock optimization, and physical verification
  • Scripting skills in Perl and TCL
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills enabling efficient knowledge sharing and collaboration with product development groups and CAD tool teams spread across multiple sites
  • Candidates with exposure to low power implementation using UPF/CPF will be at an advantage
  • Candidates with experience using Cadence digital implementation tools (Genus, Innovus, Tempus) and Calibre physical verification for DRC/LVS would be preferred
  • Candidates with experience in various geometry nodes (40nm - 16nm) and with experience in hierarchical implementation would be preferred
  • A knowledge of issues and techniques applicable to mixed-signal design environments would be an advantage
