Job Description

Design and Development of Power Distribution, Control or electro-mechanical boxes for capital equipment
Responsibilities * Designing and developing (NPD) complex mechanical systems or sub-systems pertaining to power distribution, control systems, or LV power box enclosures

• Owing complete lifecycle from Concept Development to launch of a system or sub-system covering concepts in domain of structural and thermal engineering
• Selecting OEM Components - Busbars, Hinges, Latches, Cooling Systems, Interlocks, Circuit Breakers etc.
• Validating designs and managing technical risks through proper engineer analysis techniques (DfX, FMEA), planning tests, and proper documentation
• Collaborating with cross-functional global teams to integrate sub-systems, select and qualify OEM components, and ensure manufacturability and cost targets
• Leading structured investigations through various RCCA methods and resolving issues, while discovering new method to enhance existing design standard.

Mechanical Engineers: 10+ yrs exp. of Designing Power/Control/Distribution BoxesCandidates with exp of system or sub-system NPD and concept design
A successful candidate will have 10+ years of hands-on experience in collecting, conceptualising and designing Power Distribution, Control/Electro-Mechanical boxes. They must be adept in Thermal hand calculations, basic simulation, component selection, designing and prototyping while working with cross-functional internal/external teams.
They should be proficient in problem-solving techniques (8D, 5Why, Fishbone etc), design techniques (DfX, FMEA), analysis, communication and handling multiple stakeholders globally.
