Amazon's Global Trade program has enabled 1,00,000 Indian exporters to cross $5 billion in cumulative exports from India that showcase crores of Made in India products today to customers across the world. The program requires an experienced and talented head of creative content and communications to work within the Amazon Global Trade marketing team, helping to deliver engaging content personalized for our target audiences.

With this role, you will join a fast growing team that looks at the big picture of overall e-commerce exports ecosystem which consists of sellers, facilitators like logistics partners, compliance partners, and other relevant entities such as the government and policymakers. This role will give an opportunity to formulate new and interesting ways to communicate Amazon Global Trade's vision and voice, while aligning creative and business goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong writing background with the ability to craft compelling digital and brand-led marketing copy. A successful candidate will be comfortable taking initiative with self-directed work, yet equally comfortable leading and contributing in a large, team environment. The Sr.Marketing Content & Comm Manager will partner with subject matter experts to synthesize complex technical concepts into clear and concise messaging that drives awareness, consideration, and adoption of Amazon's Global Trade programs. Over time, this role will develop mechanisms to create repeatable processes, yielding a higher volume of content that will fuel a broad range of marketing activities. This role will need to have a high bar for writing, grammar, and strong attention to detail to deliver high-quality, customer obsessed content.

Key job responsibilities

  • Spearhead and develop a comprehensive annual creative content and communications strategy framework to differentiate Amazon Global Trade programs in collaboration with program leadership
  • Create mechanisms to plan and maintain a 90-day calendar aligned to marketing and business priorities
  • Establish a workflow and support standards, systems, and best practices for content creation, maintenance, retrieval, and repurposing
  • Lead and oversee content creation for internal and external communications (global trade websites, social channels, emailers, event and campaign collateral, etc.)
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple teams to ideate and produce content across formats (articles, blog, podcast, videos, social media content, etc)
  • Edit all content (articles, social media captions, landing page content, podcast and video collateral, emailers, etc) posted on the website, social media, and other channels
  • Oversee content team/external agency and ensure timelines are met and all deliverables are of the highest quality; influence best practices in content, grammar, messaging, writing, and style
  • Nurture a consistent one-voice approach across channels in terms of style, language, quality, and aligned with program key messages
  • Research and ideate themes and topics for new marketing content properties, keep track of evolving themes and influencers and evaluate/forge partnerships
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data
  • Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
  • Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements
  • Experience presenting metrics and progress to goal with stakeholders
  • 5+ years of marketing experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • A strong portfolio of storytelling across a variety of platforms
  • Proven experience in content marketing and developing new ways to deliver impactful content to stakeholders and customers and drive seller/consumer action
  • Proven success in balancing multiple initiatives in a high-volume environment
  • Track record of executing content plans for various audiences and verticals, managing multiple deliverables, meeting budgets and deadlines
  • Proven experience in editorial, content, and communications management
  • 10+ years of experience working in media/new media, editorial and content leadership role within media
  • Ability to manage and drive complex projects, and provide clear and confident guidance, including in situations of high ambiguity
  • Experience collaborating on a regional or global content strategy
  • Experience working with creative and production teams
  • Subject matter expertise in digital industry, understanding current trends and industry influencers
  • Exhibit exceptional oral and written communication skills with innate attention to accuracy and detail
  • Proven track record of managing a team of content and creative executives
  • Strong background overseeing projects from concept to completion
  • Excellent planning and organization skills
