Role Responsibilities

SRE Specialist - who will be responsible for Hadoop Datalake and Reporting Applications Technology Support

Responsibilities*

  • The candidate will be responsible for managing L2 and L3 production support and at the same time will be able to deliver automation and code fixes solutions independently.
  • The candidate will be coordinating with project team and business stakeholders to understand application design and functionality and resolve provide timely resolution for any issues reported by stakeholders or business users by managing support for Big Data platform in Hadoop.
  • The candidate will be responsible to partner with project team, product engineering team and business leads in ensuring the service levels are met and take end to end ownership of the Production support.
  • The candidate will be responsible for acting on the functional/technical activities assigned to him/co-staff including incident, problem, and change along with SLA management

  • Assess the risk related to the application operation , understand the risk and take desired steps to mitigate or manage the risk
Role Specific Technical Competencies
  • Strong knowledge on Hadoop Architecture and ecosystem
  • Strong knowledge on Enterprise Data warehouse production system batch management
  • Strong Development and support experience in Hadoop, HIVE, HBASE, Data Bricks, Airflow, Spark and Python,
  • Control-M/any Scheduler- development and support knowledge
  • SRE Practises
  • Write automation scripts for any alerts and monitoring dashboards from automation perspective
  • Flexible enough to work on 24*7 shift rotation basis
  • Knowledge of AWS or Azure
