This is Sr. Designer role ,reporting to Design Manager in Motion division located in Bangalore. Create and modify the standard designs of equipment, systems, or installations, including standard specifications for manufacturing, fabrication or construction for assignments classified as low to medium complexity by applying standard design concepts. Your responsibilities Assume responsibility for the specification, implementation, and documentation of converter software used in customer applications according to design guidelines and best practices. Apply expertise to software design and carry out project-specific adaptations to Codesys-based (IEC 61131-3) software. Understand and configure control hardware and product firmware to suite project specific adaptations. Conduct software tests during converter type-tests in the lab. Fine-tune the software during vehicle commissioning. Provide professional support to service department as well as to the customers. Support troubleshooting activities on installed base. Your background Degree in E&E (Electrical Engineering) or E&C, complemented by proven track record in process control and software design (including Codesys, or similar IEC 61131-3 based environment). 2 to 5-year experience in control system, TCMS/VCU & Traction Products. Good understanding of electrical installations in rail vehicles (Knowledge on Electrical Locomotive/EMU/Metro is an advantage). Basic knowledge of high-level protocols like CANopen, J1939, Ethernet (TCPIP/UDP/TRDP), MVB is an advantage. Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken, other languages are an advantage.
