Title: Sr. Technical Professional - Engineering Safety

Under direct supervision, independently evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria, using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications. With additional experience within one functional area, assists in the design of larger and more complex assignments which involve conventional types of plans, investigations and surveys with relatively few complex features for which there are precedents. Job tasks, correctly performed, impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability or operations. Skills are typically acquired through an undergraduate degree in Engineering and minimum of 2 years related experience, with typical experience ranging from 3-7 years.

Key requirements for the position

• Preparation of HSE Design philosophy and fire & gas philosophy.
• Preparation of hazardous area classification schedule and layouts, passive fire proofing schedule and layout.
• Preparation of fire protection and safety equipment specification, datasheet and layout, escape route layout and safety sign layout.
• Preparation of fire & gas detector layout and cause & effect chart.
• Preparation of fire water and foam demand calculation report.
• Performing fire water hydraulics.
• Preparation fire water P & ID's and fire water network layout.
• Preparation of Deluge P & ID and Foam system P & IDs.
• Participation in safety reviews such as HAZID, HAZOP, SIL/SIMOPS, Bow-tie analysis etc.
