Visa\'s Platform as aService (PaaS) team collaborates with various product development teams, and other teams within Operations & Infrastructure organization to engineer, build and operate the most innovative, reliable, scalable, secure and cost-effective Observability platform solutions to meet VISA customers\' growing needs. You will be part of a team of engineers/System analysts who are focused on Visa\'s diverse technology stack, including public/private cloud/container platforms, integrationarchitectures and associated life-cycle management of the systems. As part of this self-driven team, you will have total ownership of the solutions we provide to our customers focussing on availability, performance, security, and reliability aspects which are critical to platform success. You need to do this all at global scale, as well, so continual, iterative improvements in the process, technology, tools, and automation are essential.In this position, you will be a passionate and talented engineer that can work in a dynamic environment as a member of Agile Scrum teams.Your strong technical leadership, problem-solving abilities, coding, testing and debugging skills are key for success. This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs. Qualifications Basic Qualification: . 2+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree, OR 5+ years of relevant work experience . Minimum of 2-4 years\' hands-on experience in DevOps functions . Strong software development fundamentals and skills . Experience with Container platforms: Docker, K8S and alternatives . Experience with any Observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk/Humio . Experience with Configuration management: GitOps/Terraform . Experience with any programming language: java/goLang/Python . Experience working with Linux environment . Has knowledge of three tenants of Observability (Monitoring, Logging and tracing) . Experience working in DevOps environment Nice to have: . Experience with CI/CD: pipeline management with GitHub, Ansible . Experience with provisioning and maintaining GCP/AWS services . Experience with time-series based monitoring / observability systems Responsibilities: Work in a team to operate, maintain, and secure on-prem and cloud-based, open-sourced, Platform as a Service (PaaS) environment to deliver Observability features in the most efficient way as possible Deploy suitable instrumentation to collect metrics/logs/traces for monitoring, logging and distributed tracing to improve health and availability of systems and services. Develop automation solutions to improve operational efficiencies Administer, Operate and improve the Observability platform applications and infrastructure with focus on high availability and reliability. Collaborate with various teams in the design of their monitoring solutions. Ensure Observability platform is safe and secure against cybersecurity threats Perform root cause analysis for outages Serve as a subject matter expert working with technical resources and customers. Produce high quality documentation. Maintain on-call responsibilities as required and potentially optimize the on-call processes Additional Information Visa is an EEO Employer.
