Role : Sr. SHE Manager

Reporting : Administrative reporting to Project Head, Functionally to EHS Head HO

Education & Experience Requirement

? B.E or B.Tech in (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical) + Industrial Safety Diploma from State Technical Board or NICMAR PG HSE or M.Tech in HSE

? Professional Qualification (DIS / PDIS / ADIS) - FULL TIME

o Trained Lead/Internal Auditor for ISO 45001 & EMS ISO 14001 (Optional)

? 15 + Years of experience in construction industry of which min 5 years in Major Bridge on

Ganga ,Brahmaputra etc

Key Purpose of the Job (Position Summary)

? Implement EHS Policy, EHS Management System requirements at project level.

? Deploy organizational EHS Process at project level

? Ensure implementation of EHS control measures.

? Conduct audit, inspection & review - enforce implementation of corrective & preventive

actions

? Proactive identification of risk and implementation of control measures.

? Incident investigation & reporting

? Routine reporting to HO EHS Function on project EHS performance

? Ensure implementation of Training matrix

? Coordination with client and key stakeholders

Key Accountabilities

? Process owner for EHS process & system at project level.

Key Functions & Responsibilities

? Develop and implement effective EHS Management system and Procedures and

achieve best EHS Performance at project.

? Implement the methodology of Plan-Do- Check -Act (PDCA Cycle)

Sensitivity: LNT Construction Internal Use

? Overall responsibility for steering the implementation of the organization's EHS

Management system.

? Work scheduling and monitoring of Subordinate Safety engineers & supervisors.

? Act as a change agent to drive safety culture.

? Provide support to line management for implementation of Safety requirements and

prioritize Safety initiatives for successful delivery.

? Ensure continuous improvement in EHS Management System.

? Ensure Implementation of Contractor Safety Management system and further work with

contractors to influence and improve their EHS performance and are aligned with

company standards.

? Co-ordination with client for project safety requirements

? EHS daily inspection with concern section In-charge and safety engineer of the area

and recommend effective Corrective & Preventive actions to prevent injuries.

? Prepare Project Safety Performance Indicator report for the project

? Conduct Monthly EHS committee meeting with committee members & minute the

proceeding for circulation and follow up action for compliance.

? Conduct Safety Promotional activities like seminars, workshops, poster competitions,

housekeeping competitions, Video shows etc.

? Ensure compliance of Safety & Environmental Legal requirements.

? Prepare site specific emergency plan & Conduct periodic Mock drills.

? Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) & determine control measures for all

activities of the project and ensure its periodic review and update.

? Incident investigation, root cause analysis, reporting and analysis of incidents.

? Prepare Training calendar & conduct Training and educational program for Engineers,

Supervisors, Technicians & workers

? Imparting Fire Fighting & First Aid Training

? Verify the Permit to Work (PTW) system for effective implementation.

? Prepare Monthly EHS activity plan of the project.

? Prepare Project EHS Organogram with specific roles and responsibility.

? Ensure Traffic management system.
