The Electronics Components Salesperson is responsible for promoting and selling electronic components and related EMS solutions to OEMs, ODMs, and industrial customers. This role focuses on customer acquisition, relationship management, quotation support, and coordination with internal teams to ensure timely delivery, competitive pricing, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities Sales & Business Development
Identify and develop new customers for electronic components (active, passive, electromechanical, semiconductors, etc.)
Manage and grow existing customer accounts
Understand customer BOMs (Bill of Materials) and sourcing requirements
Generate sales leads, follow up on inquiries, and close deals
Achieve monthly and annual sales targets
Customer & Account Management
Act as the primary point of contact for customers regarding component sourcing
Build long-term relationships with purchasing, engineering, and supply-chain teams
Support customers during NPI (New Product Introduction) and mass production phases
Handle pricing negotiations, contracts, and supply agreements
Quotation & Pricing
Prepare and submit accurate quotations based on customer BOMs
Work with procurement and supply-chain teams to secure competitive pricing
Monitor market trends, component availability, and lead times
Support cost-reduction and alternate-part (AVL) strategies
Internal Coordination
Coordinate with procurement, engineering, quality, and production teams
Ensure smooth order processing and on-time delivery
Communicate demand forecasts and customer requirements internally
Resolve issues related to shortages, quality concerns, or delivery delays
Market & Product Knowledge
Maintain strong knowledge of electronic components and suppliers
Track market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supply risks
Represent the company at trade shows, customer visits, and industry events
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Business, or related field
0-5 years of sales experience in electronic components, EMS, or distribution
Strong understanding of electronic components and BOM structures
Experience working with OEMs/ODMs is preferred
