Job Responsibilities :

  • Numerical Dynamic Modelling simulation, classical reservoir Engineering
  • MDT / DST planning / supervision, PVT sampling, Core quality data acquisition, , RCA plan and supervision, coordination, interpretation & report write up, Experience of RCA, SCAL, PVT, PTA, well testing and PDA analysis
  • QC of all data acquisition, maintaining of quality for use and sharing with concerned group, preparation of data input for field development plans
  • Coordinate within multi-disciplinary teams in order to provide necessary input data to monitor progress of all company operated and non-operated wells, actively and effectively participates in technical meetings of JV companies and presents company views on various subjects
  • Monitoring of reservoir surveillance Data analysis, identification of data gap and improvement in surveillance & report writing
This position will be responsible for reservoir engineering related studies of producing fields as well as fields under development and preparation/update of depletion plans for R Cluster and Satellite, MJ Fields as well as potential future developments. He will be responsible for simulation studies and production forecasting and well and reservoir management. He will be responsible for production monitoring, production start-up and recovery optimisation for the field and capturing risks and uncertainties and preparing the mitigation measures. He will be responsible for interaction with DGH, partners and other 3rd party studies.

Job Accountabilities (duties and responsibilities).

1. Will be accountable for Reservoir engineering studies and preparation and update of depletion plan of D1-D3, R Cluster and Satellite and MJ Fields.

2. Will be responsible for well performance analysis and well management including MBAL, IAM, Decline analysis for production planning, evaluating field performance.

3. Will be responsible for carrying out independently simulation studies and production forecasting.

4. Will be responsible for analysis and documentation of monthly and quarterly reports

5. He will be responsible for recovery optimization for the field and capturing risks and uncertainties and preparing the mitigation measures like well intervention/infill wells.

6. Will be involved in interaction with DGH, partners and third party studies

7. Will prepare the technical presentation and fully participate in regular TCM/Workshops with JV partners.

Skills Required (Knowledge and Skills)

1. Independently carry out Reservoir Simulation studies using software \xe2\x80\x93 Eclipse/CMG/tNavigator.

2. Independently carry out classical Reservoir engineering and well test interpretation. Working Knowledge of software- MBAL, PROSPER, WELLFLO, Pansystem, Ecrin.

3. Good analytical skill in field performance and risk and uncertainty analysis

4. Good knowledge about Fundamentals of Geology, Geophysics, Petro physics and Production Engineering.

5. Good Communication skills, learning agility and Analytical skills.

6. Ability to recognize areas requiring additional study that adds value and propose these studies to subsurface leaders.

Qualification:

1. Bachelor degree in Petroleum Engineering

Experience:

1. 5 years Reservoir Engineering & field development experience inclusive of association with subsurface activities in a producing field.

2. Deepwater field management experience will be preferred .

3. Exposure to coal bed methane would be an advantage.

Education Requirement :

Minimum B.Tech(Pet Engg) / B.Sc. Engg(Pet Engg)

Additional: M.Tech(Pet Engg)

Experience Requirement :

\xc2\xb7 Preferred 3 - 10 years of experience in Reservoir Engineering

Skills & Competencies :

Capability of using reservoir Engg softwares eg. Prosper, MBAL, PVT Sim, Eclipse, IMEX, OFM, Ecrine, PanSys

\xc2\xb7 Calculate reserves and well/reservoir performance for conventional and non-conventional plays; understand the principles of production performance of coal-bed methane gas reservoirs.

\xc2\xb7 Able to provide specific performance improvement recommendations through recompletions, new drilling, injection pattern changes, etc. Establish plans and procedures to effect same

\xc2\xb7 Develop near- and long-term production and reserve targets for reservoirs. Actively follow reservoir performance and provide solutions to shortcomings from targets.

\xc2\xb7 Can determine the key reservoir engineering and geoscience factors that influence recovery factor, number of wells required and production profile., risk analysis

\xc2\xb7 Can quantify reservoir engineering uncertainties in the context of other uncertainties using appropriate ranges of uncertainty and appropriate decision and risk analysis techniques.

\xc2\xb7 Analyze well testing and flow back data for estimation of reservoir parameters

\xc2\xb7 Strong analytical abilities for reservoir operation

\xc2\xb7 Handle Special Projects

\xc2\xb7 Ability to act independently, effective organizational skills, ability to multi-task, effective verbal and written communication skills

\xc2\xb7 Experience of RCA, SCAL, PVT, PTA, well testing and PDA analysis
