Job Description




Skill : Sr. Performance Engineer Years of Experience : 8+ years Location : Bangalore Notice period : Immediate to 15 days joiners only.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participates in all stages of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) to ensure
technical completeness and accuracy. Monitors product development progress throughout the software development lifecycle. Implements and executes quality activity per the requirements of Landmark.
  • Analyzes end user requirements, business requirements and testing requirements from the
Requirements documents and understands the Performance Impact on the product.
  • Documents the performance requirements including SLAs, volumetrics, performance
monitoring and scalability.
  • Identify and flag down potential performance issues at the start of the development stage
  • Provide technical assistance and advice to ensure smooth system performance from initial stages
  • Identify performance goals and requirements
  • Develop or influence non-functional requirements at early stages
  • Analyzing the critical business scenarios
  • Analyzing the service level agreement objectives
  • Design effective tests to check system performance and stability
  • Developing the test scripts
  • Enhancing the scripts
  • Designing workload model
  • Test Execution
  • Test Monitoring
  • Analyzing and preparing the test results
  • Performance script fine tuning
  • Perform Performance deployment inspections
  • Monitoring system performance post-deployment
  • Troubleshooting and fixing production incidents
  • Perform design inspections
  • Perform code inspections
  • Design guidelines preparation relating to Performance
  • Performance modeling
  • Ensure non-functional requirements for performance (Memory, CPU usage, latency)
  • Understand the roles of reliability and capacity
  • Create test data and ensure data management
  • Utilize testing tools based on the companys requirements
  • Run tests to validate Load, Scalability, Stability, and Reliability standards
  • Analyze test results and provide appropriate solutions
  • Work with engineers and developers to perform defect fixes
  • Find root cause of performance issues and suggest solutions
  • Oversee system performance lifecycle
  • Create performance reports for review
  • Reviews performance test results and analyzes the defects. Analyzes results and identifies
opportunities for optimization. Participates in Performance Test exit reviews.
  • Submits potential improvement areas in the defects tracking system related to performance testing.
Interfaces with product development, support teams and other organizations to resolve those defects.
  • Adheres to QA standards. Stays current with industry processes, trends, and techniques.
  • Owns the Performance Strategy and road map to achieve QA delivery excellence.
  • Focuses on self-development and meets organizational goals.

EDUCATION
  • BE/BTech/BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field

EXPERIENCE Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, or related discipline.
  • Core skills: 8+ years Development or Quality Assurance Experience, contemporary
software quality assurance processes with a focus on Performance testing.
  • Experience with software performance engineering and testing
  • Strong development skills .NET, Java etc.
  • Experience with databases MongoDB, SQL Server
  • Knowledge of scripting and automation Perl/Python
  • Familiar with testing tools JMeter, Microfocus LoadRunner, Selenium
  • Broad general knowledge on internal technologies such as load balancers, firewalls, and database servers
  • Knowledge on exterior components such as external ad networks and analytics
  • Passionate about performance, reliability, and scalability
  • Communication – both technically and at a business level

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in Regulatory industry.
  • Experience with the unique challenges to Non-Functional Requirements in the healthcare vertical
  • Desirable to have knowledge on Neustar/VSTS
  • Good to have knowledge on capacity planning and disaster recovery
