Description The IT Development Specialist focuses upon the development of applications / products in line with the technology roadmap and standards.The IT Development Specialist delivers development of programme logic for new applications / products or analysis and modification of logic in existing applications (activities may also include elements of technical testing). Typically reports to the Senior IT Development Manager of the Head of Technology. Job Responsibility Role purpose The role is designed to ensure that standardized methods and procedures are used for efficient and prompt handling of all UKIT technical deployments, in order to minimize the impact of deployment upon service quality, and consequently improve the day-to-day operations of the organization. Responsibilities Coordinate all aspects of technical deployment covering planning and execution in a live environment across UKIT systems. Ensure coordination of activities across multi-teams and change stages are set. Ensure teams follow established deployment processes, work instructions, run sheets through the changes. Ensure UK IT deployment documentation is being produced and available for audit purpose or PIR (Post Implementation Review). Manage communication, preparation, and training, if required ahead of the significant UK IT Change deployments. Support standardization of the deployment governance and best practice that can be utilised across all markets as a UK leading market. Weekly and monthly reporting update. Drive a Continuous Improvement culture across UK IT to improve technical deployment as service. Who are we looking for 5 to 7 Years of experience in Release Management. Experience in managing live deployments across IT systems. Clear & effective communication/coordination. OneITSM/Remedy working experience to raise CRQ and manage CRQ life cycle. Highly organized with the ability to work under pressure. Confident, collaborative working style and able to interface with people of all levels. Must be able to demonstrate ability/experience leading change activities in multi -site, multi-client development. Ability to consistently work to high levels of quality and positive attitude. Ability to work across cross-functional and cultural boundaries to deliver service and change.
