Job Description

A Sr. Purchase Officer manages the end-to-end procurement process, focusing on strategic sourcing, supplier negotiation, cost control, inventory management, and ensuring compliance, by building vendor relations, analyzing market trends, processing purchase orders, monitoring deliveries, and reporting savings to optimize value and supply chain efficiency for the company.

• Sourcing & Negotiation: Identify reliable suppliers, negotiate favorable contracts, terms, and pricing, and resolve disputes.
• Purchase Order Management: Create, process, and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policy.
• Supplier Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong, positive relationships with vendors.
• Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels, coordinate with warehouse staff, and manage material flow to prevent shortages or overstocking.
• Cost Savings: Identify opportunities for cost reduction and ensure purchases stay within budget.
• Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities follow company policies, regulations, and ethical standards.
• Reporting: Prepare procurement reports, track spend, and present findings to management.
• Collaboration: Work with other departments (operations, program teams) to understand needs and specifications.

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Admin, Supply Chain, or related field.
• Experience: Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain roles, often with industry-specific knowledge (e.g., textiles, garments).
• Skills: Strong negotiation, relationship building, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Technical: Proficiency in ERP/procurement software and strong understanding of inventory principles.
