The Devices org began in 2004 as a subsidiary of Amazon.com, Inc., originally creating the best-selling Kindle family of products. Since then, we have produced groundbreaking devices like Fire tablets, Fire TV, Amazon Echo and Amazon Echo Show. The Amazon Devices group delivers delightfully unique Amazon experiences, giving customers instant access to everything, digital or physical. Key job responsibilities As a Product Manager in Amazon Common Software for devices, you'll be shaping the future of connected devices and bring a solution from concept to reality. You will be part of a PM team with broad charter and senior executive visibility. This role is a great fit for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, is highly technical and has experience working with large engineering teams. This role also requires customer experience-minded entrepreneurs who are passionate about innovating on behalf of customers and demonstrate a high degree of product ownership. Responsibilities: . Write business requirement documents and define use cases, features, and KPIs . Create the business case and go to market strategy . Work with customers, internal and external partners to identify the right features, priorities and user journeys . Manage the entire product life cycle from inception to launch . Inspire the team with the product vision, and work cross-functionally to bring the product to life . Plan and launch the product with customers, including Beta customers . Bachelor's Degree . 5+ years of experience in product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology . Experience managing products through entire life cycle - from inception to launch. . Experience overseeing roadmap strategy and definition . Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product . Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product . Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver products to global markets . Experience communicating technical concepts to a non-technical audience . High attention to detail including precise and effective customer communications and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously . Experience working with stakeholders across many functions . Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations and drive actions PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS . MBA or Bachelor's / Master's degree in Computer science, Engineering, Science, Math or related field . Experience on cross domain Operating System (OS) components and technology domains (media, graphics, connectivity) . Experience in building application development environments (IDEs/SDKs/Tools) . Experience in building platform and hardware adaptation for software components . Knowledge and experience working with Amazon SDKs/devices . Experience with open source . Prior working experience in a Software Development Team . Knowledge of Software architecture, Operating systems, Middleware, API, UI design/flows and/or developer tools
