II. POSITION SUMMARY

To deliver safe, fit for purpose civil / structural drawings to an agreed schedule to meet a pre agreed budget.

III. NATURE AND SCOPE

The job holder is one of the key members of the design team having responsibility for the civil and structural analysis & design. Based on the execution strategy the job holder will be responsible for civil and structural analysis & design on projects

IV. DIMENSIONS:

• Responsible for ~2,00,000+ C&S analysis and design project man-hours pa.
• Handling subcontractors and agencies for outsorced scope of work and/or onborded contracted resources
• Project Reporting to Manager and Keep a track on project cost, quantity, productivity and schedule of C/S scope of work
• Responsible for review of Vendor documents, Technical offers, Interdisciplinary check (IDC) documents.
• A C&S Engineer acts as the technical interface with AP project execution teams for C & S designs. The primary purpose is the delivery of a safe, fit for purpose plant design including analysis to an agreed schedule and budget.
• Providing support to other AP engineering centers as workload requires.

V. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Safety and rigorous adherence to relevant specifications and standards for all C&S designs. Accountable
• for the engineering scope adherence in accordance with project specifications & standards.
• Implementation of quality procedures and contribute to continuous improvement activities.
• C&S scope definition, estimation & forecasting, planning, review / check / approval, document control and review activities necessary for project execution
• Analysis & Design of equipment foundations like compressors, pumps, static & dynamic equipment, storage tanks, cooling tower basin & sump etc.
• Building designs - MCC rooms, Control rooms, Compressor Sheds.
• Other civil designs - Design of underground services, roads, civil pipe supports, water tanks, misc foundations
• Steel structure designs - technological structures, pipe racks, platforms, ladders etc.
• Experience of modular steel structures including lifting and shipping analysis.
• Experience in Issuing civil and steel packages for contractor selection and construction.
• Effectively communicate by email, .ppt or \'face to face\' AP\'s execution strategies, schedule issues and project requirements

VI. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• An Engineering / Masters Degree (or equivalent) and work experience of 20-25 years Previous experience of working as Lead Engineer for Large Scale Gasification / Oil & Gas / Refinery Projects
• Execution experience of Ammonia, Methanol, SRU plant
• Experience in all phases of project includes, proposal, Feed, Basic and Detail Engineering
• Expertise and / or knowledge on Modularised Projects
• Expertise and / or knowledge of Dynamic Machine Foundation Design
• Knowledge of General Civil, underground, building design is desired
• Able to co-ordinate and work with global partners and subcontractors
• Knowledge of Global Codes and Standards (American, European, British, Indian, Russian)
• Handle a team of 75+ members and able to guide them
• Excellent written and spoken English and strong communication skills
• Experience of working on industrial plants.
• Must be familiar with an engineering organization, the function of each discipline and how they interact and the function of the various support groups globally.
• Experienced working to Indian and global codes, preferably US, Canadian & Euro codes
• Experienced working with software such as Staad pro, MAT-3D,Foundation 3D and capable of manual design by using spread sheet program.
• Experienced designing of plant and facilities in high seismic zone and with ductile detailing requirements.
• Experience of designing equipment foundations like compressors, pumps, pressure vessels, cooling towers, storage tanks etc
• Experience in designing steel structures like pipe racks, technological structures, compressor sheds, platforms etc.
• Experience in design of large modular structures e.g PAR, PAU
• Experience in General Civil, Underground and Building Design
• Experience in Leading Projects independently with Team of Engineers and Designers.
