About the Inspire Global Innovation Center

Inspire Brands is disrupting the restaurant industry through digital transformation and operational efficiencies. The companys technology hub, the Inspire Global Innovation Center in Hyderabad, India, will lead technology innovation and product development for the organization and its portfolio of distinct brands. The Inspire Global Innovation Center will focus on developing new capabilities in data science, data analytics, eCommerce, automation, cloud computing, and information security to accelerate the companys business strategy. Inspire Global Innovation Center will also host an innovation lab and collaborate with start-ups to develop solutions for productivity optimization, workforce management, loyalty management, payments systems, and more.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build, manage, support and maintain menu item databases, coupons, discounts, promotions, and approved custom configurations.
  • Develop and execute processes for database maintenance problem resolution and escalation support for Restaurant Technology and underlying infrastructures while creating and maintaining documentation for said processes.
  • Develop and execute processes and scripting for large scale patching and deployment activities, including updates to existing installations and new restaurant installations.
  • Partner with key departments outside of IT, such as Operations and Marketing to define, establish and implement best practices and procedures for POS, Mobile Ordering, and Loyalty platforms (e.g.; database management, integration analysis and platform support).
  • Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis for issues within Restaurant Technology; including hardware, software, and network infrastructures.
  • Perform development level quality assurance (QA) processes to ensure superior systems are deployed into the production environment.
  • Develop and provide documentation and training processes to enhance the skill level of internal Technical Support IT/Service Desk Staff.
  • Provide extended support outside of core business hours when required by the business owners.
  • Provide mentorship to more junior POS engineers
EDUCATION QUALIFICATION:
  • Required Minimum: College degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience.
EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION:
  • Required Minimum: 5+ years of experience in design, configuration and administration of Point of Sale Systems.
  • Required Minimum: 5+ years Restaurant (QSR/TSR) environment experience
  • Required Minimum: 3+ years of experience in implementation / deployment of at least one Inspire Point of Sale - Oracle Simphony, PAR Brink, Infor or NCR Aloha.
  • Preferred: 5+ years of experience in POS systems design, integration, and implementation/deployment of infrastructure and supporting software applications.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS OR ABILITIES:

In-depth knowledge of POS solutions, including peripheral devices such as kitchen VDUs, scanners, receipt printers and payment devices. Knowledge of restaurant infrastructure components and applications, including hardware, system and application software, and networking. Quick ServiceRestaurant or Retail business experience. Ability to maintain positive collaborative relationships with cross functional groups.
