About your role Designation-Senior Manager (Regulatory) Location-VSB Delhi Reports to-Senior Legal Counsel About the Function The Senior Manager (Regulatory) is a position within Tata Communications, based in the (BU) team and reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel. This role leads a small and mighty team of tight-knit regulatory professionals who are responsible for ensuring the licensing and regulatory compliances with regard to India and Sri Lanka regulatory environment. You will be based in New Delhi and part of corporate regulatory team. You will be accountable for (Key Responsibilities) Ensuring that the licensed products/services are compliant to Regulatory Conditions as laid down in the various Unified Licenses, directions by DOT and TRAI Prepare responses to Policy Consultation Papers and DoT/TRAI notices, representation to DoT/TRAI on various ongoing issues. Prepare applications for new licenses and for renewal of existing licenses, experimental license, registrations, provide notes/presentation for management/ industry association on key regulatory issues provide regulatory inputs on key business projects. Handling all the issues right from coordinating with relevant stakeholders for applying for approval from Trusted Telecom Cell regarding various network equipments in terms of the license conditions. Interacting with DoT, WPC, TRAI, MIB, DOS, MHA, Designated Security Agencies for expediting the approvals wherever required in various ongoing cases. Monitoring the progress of critical cases in Designated Security Agencies to avoid any adverse action by taking appropriate corrective action wherever required Protecting the interest of the company in various Ministries of the Government of India as well as before TRAI and the Designated Security Agencies. Maintaining and updating various work-related trackers Approving new products and guiding the product teams regarding the launch of new products and services within the compliance of the pevaling regulatory regime in India and SAARC. Obtaining clarifications and approvals from MIB as required by the Business Unit You have (Qualification and exp) Specialization in Management, Public Relationship and knowledge in the domain of policy and regulation for the Telecom sector preferably having techno-regulatory expertise in the Telecom domain In-dept understanding of technical and regulatory issues involving services provided under Unified License and Unified License (Access/NLD/ILD/ISP authorization), Machine to Machine (M2M) communication, Other Service Providers (OSP) and other voice services. Adept in draft representations and good oral communication skills. Experience-Necessary Requirement: Engineering graduate with added legal qualification preferably in telecommunications field.
