Minimum qualification & experience

As a Kubernetes Platform Engineer, you will have to work within a team of like-minded professionals to plan, design, and setup Platforms based on Opensource Kubernetes Clusters and Docker Containers.

You will also be responsible for configuring required hardware/OS, peripherals, and services, managing settings and storage, deploying cloud-native applications, and monitoring and supporting a Kubernetes environment. You will also undertake duties like researching opportunities for automation, troubleshooting issues as reported by users, and mentoring team members in best practices. You will often collaborate with other members of the IT Ops team to promote security, efficiency, and scalability of core services and capabilities

Other knowledge/skills

Candidate should be B.E / B.Tech with over 7+ Years of experience in IT Infrastructure industry, 4 to 5 years in Linux and at least 2 years in Kubernetes.

Key Responsibilities

Mandatory skills required

OS - Minimum 5-7 years of deep experience in any flavor of Linux. RHEL/CentOS preferred.

Kubernetes - Experience in deploying kubernetes production environment using kubeadm and kubespray.

• Good understanding in overlay networking (eg: flannel)
• Experience in deploying GlusterFS based Storage for Containers
• Should have troubleshooting knowledge of Docker container platforms
• Experience in prometheus monitoring of K8s platforms
• Strong knowledge in Kubernetes storage and network modules

• Cloud Orchestration : Openstack or Cloudstack
• Hypervisor - KVM
• Networking: VLAN, VXLAN, Subnetting, Routing, Firewall
• Storage: Ceph , Swift , iSCSI, FC , Netapp , EMC
• Infrastructure: HP/Dell blade/rack servers
• Management /Monitoring tools: Zabbix, Nimsoft,
• Public Cloud : AWS / Google Cloud
• Devops Tools: Ansible, Chef and terraform. Shell script or python language. Deployment Automation., Docker container, ELK, Kafka, puppet etc.
