Position Summary with Job Responsibilities Purpose of the position This position is for planning, execution, daily monitoring, cost reduction and record keeping of end to end import operations. Personal Profile Education- Bachelor in Shipping & MBA in shipping or Port Operations Skills 1.Excellent Communication Skills 2.Technical Knowledge of Shipping, Port Operations, freight forwarding, Customs Laws, Maritime Law, Transportation 3.Process orientation 4.Interpersonal skills 5.Analytical Skills Should be well versed in Excel, data analysis and PPT Relevant Experience: 5 years Working in import and export operations in responsible position in shipping manufacturing or automobile industry. Education Work Experience S.N.Job Responsibility 1-Process Orientation/ Responsibilities 1.Analyize the daily Import logistics requirement and nominate relevant service provider through RFQ or annual contract in coordination with Purchase 2.Daily monitoring of import shipment movements, timely pick up and connection in earliest available vessels, custom clearance at destination 3.Daily monitoring of receipt of correct freight forwarder documentation, pre-alert, IGM filing, issuance of delivery order, physical arrival of cargo 4.Oversee the custom clearance operations of goods for import & export 5.Coordinating daily dispatches of Cargo from Airport and Seaport 6.Coordinating timely inwarding of material at Plant and Warehouses 7.Overseeing return of empty containers to shipping yard 8.Record keeping of relevant communication with internal and external agency 9.Record keeping of documents 10.Preparation of MIS 11.Payments to service providers 2-Finance Management 1.Should ensure movement of goods at economical cost 2.Should ensure non incurrence of any penalty, demurrage and detention 3-Relationship Management 1.Effective Co-ordination and communication with the stakeholders to ensure smooth processes, accountability and attain the operation targets. 4-People Management 1.Ensure to oversee the overall process of the logistics and provide continuous support to improve and enhance the process.
