You will support the service team in the design, development, and implementation of Honeywell\'s enterprise Internet of Things (IOT) core platform services This is a DevOps Sr. Architect position in the Sales and Integration technologies, as part of the Customer & Commercial Excellence (CCEX) Organization. The CCEX portfolio of projects include Digital Customer Experience and Commercial Excellence Solutions, including Pricing, CPQ, Contact Centre, APIGEE, SalesForce.com, etc. The Tech SME has the following key responsibilities:
  • Automation:
  • Design, implement, and maintain automated processes for deployment, infrastructure provisioning, and configuration management.
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to identify areas for automation and implement solutions to increase efficiency.
  • Monitoring:
  • Develop and maintain monitoring systems using tools such as Opsera to ensure the health and performance of applications and infrastructure.
  • Respond to alerts and incidents, troubleshoot issues, and proactively address potential problems to minimize downtime.
  • Release Management:
  • Manage the end-to-end release process, including planning, coordination, and execution of software releases.
  • Work closely with development teams to understand release requirements and ensure smooth and reliable deployments.
  • Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand development and operational needs, and implement solutions that meet those requirements.
  • Act as a bridge between development and operations teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Security:
  • Implement and maintain security best practices in the deployment pipeline.
  • Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance with security policies and standards.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, with a focus on automation, monitoring, and release management.
  • Strong scripting and programming skills (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Proficient in using and configuring CI/CD tools (e.g., Opsera).
  • Familiarity with infrastructure monitoring tools (e.g., Opsera, Splunk, ELK stack).
  • Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
