Job summary
Amazon is seeking a Senior IT Auditor to join Finance Operations Risks and Intelligence (FORI) team. We have a complex service-oriented architecture (SOA) environment. You need a sound technical and commercial understanding background and the ability to learn new concepts quickly. In this position, you must be able to understand technologies used for managing complex business processes and identify the full range of risks related to processes that may include financial, regulatory compliance, operations, and organization policy. You should be comfortable interacting with highly technical software development engineers and business leaders. You need a broad technical background and the ability to learn new technology concepts quickly. You must be contented in performing as a sole contributor and teammate.

In this role, you will execute IT database audits and manage projects across technologies supporting our Finance Operations businesses. You will independently perform and execute projects plans, perform data analytics, data reviews, prepare written findings, and facilitate business responses and follow up on action items. We will not only expect you to find risks and recommend mitigating solutions but should be able to interpret technical risks into business issues. You will support the team in project management, provide support to business partners to identify opportunities for control improvements, but as well be subject matter expertise on databases with an objective of mitigating risks. Your functional areas of responsibility will include but not limited to technologies used in finance operations that includes, accounts payable, , account receivables, corporate facilities, Finance Operations Accounting & analysis, and payroll processes, among others. Additionally, you will participate in adhoc assignments on priority basis and as directed by FORI leadership.

You must be an excellent writer who can concisely communicate complicated and articulate technical issues in business terms. You must be a strong audit leader, execute audits plans from beginning to end, often executing multiple audits concurrently. This position is based in our offices located in Bangalore India and may require up to 20%- 30% traveling within our offices located in India.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Basic Qualifications

• BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field
• 8+ years of relevant work experience in a role requiring application of analytic skills to integrate data into operational planning/business planning OR advanced degree
• Advanced working knowledge of large data manipulation and data mining using SQL
• Advanced skills in Excel as well as any data visualization tools like Tableau or similar BI tools (familiarity with Tableau and Quicksight preferred)
• Advanced ability to draw insights from data and clearly communicate them (verbal/written) to the stakeholders and senior management as required
• Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize workload and roadmaps
• Be self-driven, and show ability to deliver on ambiguous projects with incomplete or dirty data
• An ability and interest in working in a fast-paced and rapidly-changing environment

• MBA or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics or related field
• Familiarity with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift
• Familiarity with Oracle solutions and database

• Knowledge and expertise with Linux, OLAP and data warehousing concepts
• Experience working in very large data warehouse environments
• Extensive knowledge of BI and Visualization platforms i.e. Tableau and AWS Quicksight

• Interprets business requirements and determines optimum BI solutions to meet needs
• Build scalable solutions/self-serve platforms that will provide data/KPIs to inform business decision making.
• Identify, develop, manage, and execute analyses to uncover areas of opportunity and present written business recommendations that will help improve the controllership and help achieve the goals of the team.
• Develop high-trust relationships and processes with partner teams and stakeholders to identify and address insight requirements
• Participates in workstreams planning process including inception, technical design, development, testing and delivery of BI solutions
