- Manage the movement of products/equipment/materials in and/or out of the country in accordance with organizational policy and procedure, and to comply with relevant local, country, and international law and process
- Plan and implement import/export strategy and activities consistent with overall aims and requirements of the organization
- Coordination with Custom House Agents for ensuring timely clearances and effective transport solutions at reasonable costs
- Interfacing with shipping agencies and freight forwarders for selection of vessels & conducting negotiations for finalizing freight rates to optimize transportation costs & ensure damage free transit of goods
- BOE Filling - checklist approvals
- Experienced in handling break-bulk, project cargo, dangerous cargo etc.
- Knowledge in import and export related accounting formalities & audit compliances
- Handling preparation & maintenance of various import/export documents viz., with shipping lines, freight forwarders etc, as per the rules and regulations
- Should possess good Analytical & Negotiation Skills. Should have complete knowledge of IMPEX Operational with all channel partners like, custom brokers, freight forwarders, and Transport vendors
- Update / Maintain import export related Master database
- Compliance, Eway Bill Processing, knowledge of BIS, WPC
- Find H.S codes, Duty Structure from the tariff books and share the correct HSN code declaration in customs.
- SVB clearance, Free trade Zone clearance
Requirements
Handling Import Documentation. Handling FOB, CIF, and C&F shipment
Find H.S codes, Duty Structure with tariff book.
Co-coordinating with Delivery Agents / Transporter for Delivery of Shipments & Planning for Delivery
Preparing Daily Status Report of Import Shipments
B/E Filling - checklist approvals
Liasoning with freight forwarders
Arrange to collect the delivery orders from shipping line and freight forwarders.
Co-ordination with custom clearance dept for getting the shipment status.
