Position Title: Sr.Executive - Freight Audit Function/Group: Finance Country: India Location: Mumbai Recommended Level: 45 Job Type: Full time Role Reports to: Asst. Manager - Freight Audit India Geographical Scope of the Role - Location: Domestic Shift time - 1:30 - 10:30 PM Percentage of travel required: NA Job Overview Ensure accurate and timely approval of freight invoices, compliance with related accounting controls, and providing information and reports to key constituents in the U.S. In addition, oversee EDI error resolution, resolving escalated freight discrepancies and liaising with carriers/carrier partners to accomplish these tasks. Responsibilities require functional expertise in finance and logistics, strong customer relations and communication skills, and ability to resolve issues efficiently and effectively. Job Responsibilities 35% of Time Reporting and Analysis: . Ensure reports are generated weekly and in a timely manner. . Process performance (via KPI's) reviewed and analyzed - Trends called out timely. 20% of Time Validate and accurately approve freight invoices and adjustments in a timely manner (70% volumes for tier one location), reconcile/eliminate discrepancies between - transportation accrued costs vs. freight billing. 12 % of Time Co-ordinate/Interact with the Logistics-transportation team, cross functional teams, Leadership and carriers/carrier partners to resolve freight issues both for owned and escalated items. 12 % of Time Ensure strong quality controls and audit compliance both for self and team ensure SOX controls are adhered too. 12% of Time Ensure team Goals and KPI's are consistently met. 9% of Time Identify areas of opportunity for Continuous Improvements within workgroups/team a. Ensure results are being captured and projects stay on timeline commitment b. Share best practices with entire team across workgroups Desired Profile Education Minimum Degree Requirements: Bachelors Preferred Degree Requirements: Masters Preferred Major Area of Study: Finance/Logistics Required Professional Certifications: Bachelors Preferred Professional Certifications: Diploma is Financial management/supply chain management Experience Minimum years of related experience required: 5 Preferred years of related experience: 7 Specific Job Experience or Skills Needed - Familiarity with SAP system functionality. - Technical aptitude to learn ERS system and SAP interface. - Familiarity with various communication tools - Video Conferences, Live meetings, SharePoint etc. - Ownership and effective team directives. - Advanced MS Office computer skills (i.e. Word, Excel, Access, Outlook) - Ability to work in a team environment preferred.
