title: Purchase Engineer- Vendor Development
Work Location: Khed Shivapur

Reports to: Purchase Manager/Head Operations

? Full-time Role Purpose: Development of Vendor for Castings, Machining, Sheet-metal, Gear Manufacturing Activities.
Establish new Vendors to increase capacity, reduce cost. Audit the vendors for their capabilities, process
stability, safety and statutory requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
? Build a strong vendor base for the company
? Drive supplier selection through robust qualification processes meet company requirements on quality, delivery & cost.
? Asses existing supplier capabilities to meet product, cost, quality, capacity and fulfilment. ensuring suppliers can meet
requirements for performance, quality, cost and delivery of components.
? Co-ordination with design team for NPD with suppliers.
? Continuous Travel Involved for new process development.
? Suggest improvements in product to make product more reliable.
? Perform as a functional bridge amongst external vendors as well as internal stakeholders.
? Identify improvement areas internally as well as perform closely with all internal stakeholders to prepare solutions.
? Provide technical expertise and leadership to sourcing and development of suppliers with respect to technology, performance,
quality, cost, logistics and delivery.
? Perform Audits with Quality Department to all vendors.
? Participate to formulate workflow processes, methods and policies for applying vendors.
? Monitor and give feedback to suppliers through scorecard to Key Performance Indicators on day-to-day activities

? Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external
customers
? Planning and organizing ability.
? Problem solving and solution-oriented approach is must.
? Team player and administrative capabilities is must.
? Excellent / Good computer proficiency (MS Office - Word, Excel and Outlook)
? Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary
customer service
? Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed
routines, and standard accepted practices
Physical Requirements:
? Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative
productivity standards.
? Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance as per policy.
? Physically fit to perform duties. Medical Certificate required by allopathy physician (MBBS/MD)
? Ability to constantly visit vendors as and when necessary. Job Types: Full-time, Regular / Permanent Salary: ?350,000.00 - ?500,000.00 per year Schedule:
