Position Summary: Briefly describe the primary purpose and function of this position. Software engineer, who is responsible for the product development with quality and by following the engineering practices. The candidate should be a team player who should be able to code, do the peer code review, defect fixes wherever needed on the existing product and also takes the responsibility in porting the existing product to a new platform. We are looking for Senior System Software Engineer with strong experience in Android Framework development with expertise in Java programming on Infotainment products. Android Framework and Native development and customizations. Excellent in Java, Android SDK, Android NDK Android KPI, Boot and Memory optimizations Experience on Android HIDL , Stable AIDL interfaces implementation and customizations Android CTS and VTS debugging and issue fixing Report status, issues and progress of the SW development to the SW project lead Uses Agile Scrum Methodology for software development. Design and development of software solutions Develops unit tests for all new code Has all code changes peer reviewed, and must peer review code when required Provides input for documentation of new or existing programs Ability to refine requirements and solve problems Developing and improving solutions(including bug fixes) to problem. Performs technical research, monitors current trends and changes in technology Demonstrates industry knowledge to assist in new product development Basic Qualifications: List the minimum and desired education (including degrees, licenses, certification or registrations) and experience needed to perform the key responsibilities of the position. Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Computer science (or equivalent). 5+ years of experience on embedded systems, with focus on Android Framework and Native development Good understanding of multi-threaded programming and various synchronization techniques. Strong Java programming skills. Moderate C++ Skills expected. Understanding of Android Boot Sequence and various Framework module architecture. Hands on troubleshooting issues on run-time environment. Strong communication and inter-personal skills. Proficient in Android System concepts. Should have experience on Android development and debugging robust systems Proficient in multi threaded programming and middleware solution development on Android environment. Strong in fundamentals of Inter Process Communication and OS concepts. Creative problem-solver capable of creating and reproducing complex software defects Good experience in Android internals (Android S /Android T expertise preferred) Android build, porting and customization experience System level debugging Experience of system integration for automotive infotainment systems is preferred. USB domain knowledge will give more weightage.
