Job Title: Senior Engineer II SW for Linux Virtualization Date: 19th May 2023 Department: Virtualization Reports To: Debojyoti Pal Supervisory Responsibilities: No Global Grade: 11b/11a Work Location: Pune/Bangalore Essential Responsibilities: Understand the requirements, design, develop and debug system SW in the field of automotive Cluster & Infotainment system. Analyze customer and internal requirements and specifications and translates these into software designs. Understanding of the system software, drivers, system architecture, design methodologies, software platform integration with hardware bring up. Perform code reviews and other activities to ensure high-quality results. Work well with the distributed global teams. Handle customer queries and calls Should be able to generate and report the work progress with right status Identify the technical dependencies & risks early in the stage Define the inter module interfaces and document the same Communicate with peers inside the Harman group to coordinate software development. This includes occasional travel for training or coordination with other groups. Qualifications: Bachelors in Computer Engineering/science or Electrical / Electronics / Comm. Engineering Desired experience Good understanding of device trees in Linux Knowledge of tools like git/repo Good understanding of memory management/Interrupt handling/DMA subsystems in Linux kernel Good knowledge of ARM GIC, Timers, debug subsystem(ARMv8 architecture) is an added advantage 7+ yrs. of hands-on experience in Cluster & Infotainment Application development for Automotive Electronics systems. Working knowledge on Virtualization (Container / Hypervisor) is an added advantage. Experience in Multilayered Software architecture. Experience in working with Graphical Frameworks of Linux. Proficiency in programming with C. Experience in Agile methodologies, Configuration (Perforce, etc.) and Project Management tools Desired Characteristics: Dedicated performer with the ability to resolve technical and team management / performance issues quickly. Relentless learner with a dedication to learn new technologies and test methods Self-driven and Innovative to drive continuous improvements in Development process Resourcefulness in triaging integration problems and coordinating with multiple teams for issue resolution Strong written, verbal communication and inter personal relationship skills Eligibility Requirements: Willingness to travel 10% of the time Willingness to work in an office in Pune, India.
