JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: Sr. DevOps Engineer Job Purpose As a DevOps Engineer you will actively interface with software developers, QA engineers, product managers and administrators on projects to design and develop the build, release, and deploy toolchain for DevOps. DevOps team members know that customer success comes first and will provide prompt and timely response to requests. Responsibilities Quickly master our tools and libraries for service deployment, infrastructure provisioning, CI/CD, and monitoring. Development of automation for deployment, monitoring and in private cloud and AWS. Automate manual task, writing/modifying new or existing tools and scripts. Learn new technologies and design/implement new solutions to automate application build, deployment, and monitoring improvements. Troubleshoot build, deployment & configuration Issues on private cloud and AWS Support RFCs (major and minor releases), Coordinate with Operations team before and after RFC Conduct technical presentations that educate teams on CI/CD/Zero Downtime Deployments Mentor junior team members on scripting best practices and DevOps strategies Works well independently and with minimal supervision Knowledge and Experience BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math, or equivalent professional experience 5+ years\' experience supporting a SaaS environment in a public or private cloud infrastructure with solid understanding of cloud architectures. Expertise in supporting Windows and Linux in a distributed systems environment Expertise in scripting language used by DevOps professionals (Groovy, Bash, PowerShell) Expertise in Jenkins to implement CI/CD, User Management. Expertise in code versioning tools such as Git/Bitbucket (branching, merging, issue resolution). Intermediate in configuration management using Ansible. Intermediate in building tools like Gradle, Ant, Maven Familiar with static code analysis & monitoring tools, Whitesource, Checkmarx, AppDynamics. Ability to work during US working hours and weekends if required Effective working under pressure Ability to communicate and effectively collaborate with internal departments and other outside parties in a professional manner. Ability to travel to the US, Poland, and Belarus The ideal candidate will also have: Experience in core Java. Experience in Container orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) Intermediate with configuration management and infrastructure management tools (Terraform, Ansible) Intermediate with package tools (Nexus, Artifactory, Docker Registries) - Experience with ELK stack Experience with network theory and protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, ICMP, DNS, Balancing), ability to read a packet capture/tcp dump Experience administrating Elastic search, Cassandra and MySQL Schedule Hybrid or Remote First (1 to 2 days in office) Pune, India This role offers work from home flexibility of up to 3 days per week.
