Job Description

A Senior Electrician installs, maintains, and repairs complex electrical systems, ensuring safety and code compliance while also troubleshooting issues and potentially mentoring junior electricians. Key responsibilities include supervising maintenance, interpreting blueprints, managing upgrades, performing preventative maintenance, and responding to emergencies to minimize downtime and damage. This role requires significant experience, technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and adherence to safety regulations to maintain electrical integrity in various settings.
Key Responsibilities

• Installation & Maintenance:Install and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, motors, control systems, and other equipment in residential, commercial, and industrial environments.
• Troubleshooting:Diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues in systems, including high, medium, and low voltage equipment.
• Supervision & Mentoring:Guide and train junior electricians, ensuring efficient and safe execution of tasks.
• Planning & Upgrades:Assist in planning and implementing electrical upgrades, modernizing systems, and developing solutions for electrical problems.
• Safety & Compliance:Ensure all electrical work adheres to electrical codes and safety standards, maintaining a safe work environment.
• Documentation:Maintain accurate logs, records, and documentation of all electrical work, inspections, and inventory.
• Emergency Response:Respond to emergency situations like power outages to prevent property loss or disruption to critical systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience:Several years of experience in electrical maintenance and installation, with some roles requiring specific industrial or commercial experience.
• Technical Skills:Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
• Tool Proficiency:Proficiency with electrical hand tools, testing equipment, and diagnostic tools.
• Safety Knowledge:Solid understanding of safety procedures, regulations, and best practices.
• Problem-Solving:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify malfunctions and devise solutions.
• Physical Abilities:Ability to work in various physical conditions, including climbing, kneeling, bending, and working in different environments.
• Licensure:A valid license or certification to practice as an electrician
