Senior Director Communications, India Honeywell is an integrated operating company serving a broad range of industries around the world. We are seeking qualified candidates for a Senior Director of Communications position that will spearhead Honeywell\xe2\x80\x99s communications programs in India to help drive business in this critical High Growth Region. This senior leadership role is based in Bangalore and serves on Honeywell\xe2\x80\x99s Communications Leadership Council. It reports to the Senior Director Communications, Europe and Global High Growth Regions, with a matrix reporting line to the President of Honeywell India. The position will be responsible for positioning Honeywell\xe2\x80\x99s businesses and R&D initiatives with the media across India, working with communications colleagues in the United States and in other global growth regions to tell our story in a consistent and engaging way. A curiosity about all things technology is a must, as is an ability to adapt to multiple vertical sectors. One day you might be showcasing Honeywell\xe2\x80\x99s role in enabling Urban Air Mobility. The next you might be promoting how Honeywell supports the transition to renewable energy, or explaining how our technologies are leveraging Artificial Intelligence to build a path to industrial autonomy. What we are looking for: The successful candidate will be responsible for leading an integrated Communications team spanning Internal and External Communications and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives across the Indian sub-continent, to best position Honeywell\xe2\x80\x99s brand in front of critical audiences in the region. We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for someone with a proven track record of delivering high impact media coverage with top business and general media in India. They will have deep experience working for a large, B2B multinational corporation, including tenure within industrial sectors relevant to Honeywell, such as manufacturing, energy, IT or aviation. The successful candidate will have great press contacts that they can leverage to ensure Honeywell is a \xe2\x80\x98go to\xe2\x80\x99 source of comment for the country\xe2\x80\x99s most important media on critical issues affecting India\xe2\x80\x99s economy and its industries. The successful candidate will also have deep experience in leading impactful internal communications across functions in a highly matrixed organization, and will be adept at reaching and engaging employees - from the factory floor to the boardroom. Experience in managing strategic CSR programs, with demonstrable experience in leveraging the right communications channels to underscore the company\xe2\x80\x99s role as a key investor in local communities and economies, is also required. In this hands-on role, the successful candidate will be as comfortable delivering strategic counsel to leadership as they are directly engaging media and drafting and editing high quality copy. The highest quality English language writing skills will be critical, as well as experience of managing and developing high performing Communications teams within India. Responsibilities include: o Leading a local communications team across external, internal and CSR communications and initiatives in India. o Serving as the strategic Communications counsel for our regional business leadership and supporting global executives\xe2\x80\x99 communications initiatives when in-region. o Positioning Honeywell with key media influencers at global events such as the World Economic Forum Davos. o Developing and leading a strategic, integrated communications plan for India that aligns with Honeywell\xe2\x80\x99s global communications programs and the strategic plans of our businesses. o Leading an integrated CSR campaign for India, leveraging communications to promote the positive investments Honeywell is making in the country. o Writing/editing high-quality editorial content for different audiences and platforms \xe2\x80\x93 from press releases and features to blogs and dynamic content. o Working directly with media to build positive relationships with our most important influencers. o Regionalizing global messaging and communications materials to ensure they resonate with local audiences. o Coaching and training Honeywell executives to interact with the media. o Measuring and analyzing the effectiveness of internal and external communications efforts to demonstrate functional impact to marketing, HR and the wider business. Basic Qualifications o At least 15 years\xe2\x80\x99 communications experience developing, implementing and measuring communications plans and programs, with experience running local CSR programs. o Highest standards of written and spoken fluency in English. o Experience in B2B industrial or technology sectors, working directly with top media contacts. o Demonstrable understanding of internal and external communications measurement and metrics to evaluate and articulate the impact of results. o University degree, preferably in Journalism, Marketing Communications, or related field. Valued Attributes: o High quality writing skills - an understanding of AP style is strongly preferred. o A highly structured approach to managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. o Ability to build rapport with a diverse global team and regional business leaders. o Skilled at navigating complex internal structures, and quickly adjusting to processes and approval systems to maintain a fast pace of delivery. o Ability to independently and proactively get projects done and tackle problems head on. o Positive, high-energy attitude and willingness to embrace change to find new ways to achieve results. o Ability to travel 20-25% of time within India.
