General Mills India Center (GIC) operates out of Mumbai and supports the global operations of General Mills. The center was established in 2005 and has grown in strength. Job Overview
Role: Sr. Consultant \xe2\x80\x93 Cloud Engineering
Location: Mumbai

We have an exciting opportunity to join the Cloud Foundation Team. The individual will work with Solution Architects, Infrastructure Engineers, Data Architects, Cyber Security Engineers, Analytics Engineers and Enterprise Teams to architect, build and deploy sustainable, secure, reliable & resilient public Cloud infrastructure & foundation to support General Mills\xe2\x80\x99 Cloud Migration and Data & Analytics projects including associated standards, procedures & processes.

Role Responsibilities

• Partnering with Product Owners, Architects and Delivery teams to develop technical service roadmaps.
• Development of provisioning processes for Data and Compute resources that follow Core Public Cloud Principles, including Kubernetes Platform, IaaS & PaaS.
• Region, Availability Zone & VPC setup to support Technology Recovery & High Availability requirements.
• Development of auditable Infrastructure, Software & Data Deployment processes using IaC principal.
• Provides technical direction to teams on architecting, designing, building and deploying cloud solution for Enterprise Applications and Data and Analytics teams with expertise in Cloud Platform Architecture and Engineering.
• Contribute to product milestones by solving most complex problems, through understanding dependencies in both in platform and software product(s).
• Secure End-to-End Cloud Networking including WAN to Cloud Connectivity.
• Contribute in development of Cyber Security processes including logging, audit & governance processes.
• Evaluate new cloud capabilities (applications /software/tools).
• Vendor relationships and understands industry trends enabling them to collaborate on the overall technology roadmap.
• Consults on implementing cost optimized cloud solutions (based on usage, business requirements and budget).
• Demonstrate thought leadership in establishing research positions.

Must - have technical skills and experience

• 8+ years of relevant IT Infrastructure/DevOps experience with 3+ years of experience with designing and implementing cloud infrastructure.
• Should have Worked on tools like Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes in a production environment for large scale data-intensive systems.
• Proficiency in building/enabling cloud services using IaC tool Terraform.
• Hands-on experience with automation like Python or PowerShell or shell etc.
• Experience in storage products like Cloud Storage and NetApp (CVS).
• Strong knowledge of cloud Security practices and Cloud IAM Policy preparation.
• Expertise in deployment, building, scanning, and monitoring of the infrastructure in Cloud (GCP or Azure or AWS or AliCloud).
• Understanding of networking, especially software-defined networks.
• Strong understanding of cloud native firewalls, DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP.
• Experience with traffic load balancers such as F5\xe2\x80\x99s, GCP Load balancers etc.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• High Availability & Disaster Recovery Processes design and implementation.

Good to have skills

• Familiarity with container ecosystem/technologies, such as, Kubernetes, and the deployment/monitoring of those systems.
• Strong cloud programming skill with experience in API and Cloud Functions development.
• Knowledge of Server configuration and hardening.
• Proficiency in Server automation using Ansible or Salt.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise config & DevOps tools.
• Experience in Database products like Datastore, Cloud SQL, Cloud Spanner & Cloud Bigtable.
• Knowledge and experience in API development, AI/ML, Data Lake, Data Analytics.
• Ability to participate in fast-paced DevOps and System Engineering teams within Scrum agile processes.
