The Role: Associate II SQA Engineer
The Team: Loan Settlement forming the industry standard web-based loan trade processing platform dedicated to efficiently settling primary and secondary par and distressed loan trades in both the US and European markets. The Markit Clear platform simplifies trade settlement by providing an integrated, collaborative, real-time platform for buyers, sellers, counsel and agent banks to capture acknowledge and settle primary and secondary market loan trades. The platform is designed to improve liquidity and efficiency in the par and distressed loan markets, facilitate trading and provide real-time reporting based on the status of open and historical trades. Markit Clear provides access to real-time agency bank data along with the integration of client systems to accommodate the straight through processing of loan trades.
The Impact: We are looking for a skilled QA Analyst to join our team, to take the quality of our products to next generation of features for the application as well as existing client releases. The role offers extensive business and technical challenges in a highly dynamic and collaborative work environment. A passion for quality and a sense of pride in your work are an absolute must for the role. The business domain (Loan Platforms) is highly complex, and an interest in the business domain is an absolute necessity for the role. The role offers the right candidate opportunities to take ownership of components within the system

What\xe2\x80\x99s in it for you:
As a critical member of the team, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with a global team of developers, QA engineers who are experienced in their domain.

Responsibilities:
Work closely with product team to understand the requirements from business perspective
Design and write test cases, Execute/run test cases, review test results and report defects using any test management tool / Defect Management tool \xe2\x80\x93 preferably ALM/JIRA
Basic understanding of Selenium and Java is desired
Should be able to execute automation scripts and analyze automation results
Provide daily update to test lead on test prep, execution and defects summary
Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing
Experience of working in agile environment and with geographically distributed teams
API testing \xe2\x80\x93 hands-on experience on RESTful design / best practices. Experience of testing APIs and test tools like SoapUI / Swagger is desirable
Identify test cases suitable for automation and performance testing.
Exposure to AWS will be an added advantage

What We\xe2\x80\x99re Looking For:
Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Engineering
4-7 years of experience in Manual QA and should have good analytical skills
Good experience in defect management tool \xe2\x80\x93 JIRA, and knowledge of different QA terms and methodology
Understanding of Financial services industry economics, various asset types, interest calculations, etc is plus.
