About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled SQA Automation Engineer to support and enhance the testing of Ethos Design System (EDS) components. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in modern UI frameworks, automation tools, browser rendering mechanics, and a deep understanding of user experience. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the consistency, reliability, and high quality of reusable design system components across various browsers and environments.
Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test suites using Playwright and BrowserStack.

• Perform functional, performance, memory, and accessibility testing of EDS components.

• Validate design system standards and ensure alignment with UX guidelines.

• Test components across various browsers, devices, and screen resolutions for consistent behavior.

• Analyze and troubleshoot UI rendering issues and browser-specific inconsistencies.

• Collaborate closely with developers, designers, and product teams to understand component requirements and behavior.

• Document defects clearly, track them, and work with development teams for quick resolution.

• Continuously improve testing processes, tools, and automation frameworks.

Required Skills

• Proven experience in SQA automation for modern web applications.

• Expertise in Playwright, BrowserStack, and JavaScript/TypeScript.

• Strong knowledge of DOM, browser behavior, rendering mechanics, and web component testing.

• Hands-on experience with Angular, React, and Vue.js frameworks.

• Experience with multi-browser, multi-resolution testing.

• Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and tools such as Axe, Lighthouse, etc.

• Strong attention to detail with a good grasp of UX and design principles.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience testing design systems or reusable UI component libraries.

• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated test integration.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and collaborative development environments.
