Job Description

The Sports Manager will lead the day-to-day operations of the sports function with special focus on Golf, overseeing the strategic planning, organisation and execution of all sports programs and events.
The Sports Manager - Golf will be responsible for the following:

• Develop and manage the annual calendar of activities
• Conceptualise and execute innovative sports events and programs
• Oversee the development and maintenance of world-class sporting infrastructure
• Collaborate with internal departments (Chairman's office, legal, procurement, finance, marketing, PR, communications) to drive operational excellence
• Drive direct and indirect revenue across national and international sporting properties, especially in golf
• Develop and execute best-in-class marketing strategies in collaboration with internal and external teams
• Stay informed on national and international sports news, trends, and developments

The successful candidate will have the following:

• Over 10 years of experience in sports management, with a strong track record of delivering impactful brand, consumer, and sponsorship marketing strategies for live sporting events
• In-depth knowledge of key sports, particularly golf
• Demonstrated experience working on national and international sporting events
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to drive revenue and build partnerships
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
