Job Role

Security Technology Services (STS) is a critical function within Standard Chartered Bank operating under the overall purview of \xe2\x80\x9cTechnology Services\xe2\x80\x9d.

The STS team is made up of cyber security thought leaders, who are accountable for the provision of a global set of cyber security services and products in order to maintain and continuously improve Bank\xe2\x80\x99s cyber security posture in today\xe2\x80\x99s ever evolving cyber security landscape.

The STS team protect the Bank from cyber security threats by delivering effective information security technology services, managing and responding to security incidents to ensure, and support the continuity and growth of Bank\xe2\x80\x99s business operations; and meet the both internal and external stakeholders\xe2\x80\x99 expectations across 70+ countries and territories, in which SCB operates.

Standard Chartered is transforming into a Digital Bank and requires a forward thinking and best in class \xe2\x80\x9cData Protection\xe2\x80\x9d function which provides a service portfolio of Data Security Capabilities that will enable our businesses to conceptualise, build, deploy and run applications that are secure. Within this function, we are hiring a highly skilled and experienced Specialist who is an expert on Encryption Related technologies and who will work within the team for this function to build and deliver complelling services and solutions to improve the Bank\xe2\x80\x99s security posture and protect it from complex cyber threats.

Strategy

  • Manages and continuously enhances the capabilities within Data Protection service portfolio.
  • Provides expert advice and drives various encryption and key management initiatives within the Bank including those related to endpoint, database, file / folder, tokenization, cloud and bigdata environments.
  • Makes recommendations to improve maturity of existing tools and capabilities improve protection.
  • Coordinate solution implementation, advisory, problem management, change control and incident response.
  • Excellent collaborator with business teams, infra teams, security operations and offers technical guidance.
  • Develops, tracks and analyses actionable metrics to continuously improve tooling and procedures and provide visibility of operations to management.
  • Provides simple solutions to a variety of complex technical problems.
  • Performs security assessments and vulnerability analysis as required to justify risk tolerances and acceptances.
  • Documentation of security infrastructure, implementation, operational manuals and developing configurations to meet new business requests.
  • Support and guidance to others within the team and across the function as needed.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision in order to define and implement complex projects.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact at all levels of the Fidelity organization, from senior executives to technical experts.
  • Contribute to the Risk and Audit hygience and governance for the function.
Security Certification a plus

Our Ideal Candidate
  • A Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science / Engineering or related field.
  • 10 years of progressive Data Protection experience with at least 3 years in delivering enterprise solutions.
  • 3 - 5 years experience in enterprise scale encryption technologies.
  • Highly entrepreneurial with a high level of energy, dedication and an unrelenting drive to success and win.
  • Expertise and strong Technical skills in Encryption, key management and allied technologies like PKI and HSM.
  • Strong sense of personal ownership and responsibility in accomplishing the organisation\xe2\x80\x99s goal. Exudes confidence and will roll-up candidate sleeves to drive success.
  • Able to get things done in a quick-paced environment. Be transparent and open around what doesn\xe2\x80\x99t work and what does.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the following
  • Cryptography and data encryption products (such as Vormetric, Protegrity, Voltage, Symantec, etc)
  • Cryptography including Key Management and HSM (such as Gemalto, Vormetric)
  • Endpoint full disk and file / folder solutions at an
  • Strong conceptual understanding of Symmetric and Asymmetric key based cryptogrphy including PKI and X.509 certificates.
  • Understanding of protocols like KMIP and PKC#11.
  • Scripting capabilities using Python / Windws powershell would be a major plus.
  • Keen understanding of national and international laws, regulations, policies and ethics related to financial industry cybersecurity (NYDFS, FINRA, MAS, GDPR, etc).
  • Cyber security certifications (such as CISSP and CISM) preferred
Any skill can be selected for any role. It is expected that as complexity of role increases emphasis on various skills changes. There are minimum standards of skills that are required for People Leader and Managing Director roles.
